Due to the lack of success, he found out why, because customers couldn't walk around while eating, he flattened the meatballs he was selling and placed them between slices of bread, it turned out that this was a success and was able to attract the attention of consumers, because the Hamburg Steak dish was very popular at that time, Charlie Nagreen also gave the name Hamburger to his invention. Since then he always returned every year to the Seymour Fair to sell hamburgers, until his death in 1951.

According to the American Library of Congress and the Connecticut Government, the first hamburger was sold in 1895 by Louis Lassen at his restaurant, Louise's Lunch in New Haven, Connecticut. it and named the menu hamburger.

A Texas historian Frank X. Tolbert states that the invention of the hamburger was made by Fletcher Davis of Athens, Texas. He believes that Davis began selling hamburgers at his stall in Athens in the late 1880s, and introduced hamburgers to the St. Louis Fair in 1904.

  1. Prepare of (or a little more) ground beef.
  2. You need of Veggies of your choice(carrots, potatoes, celery).
  3. You need of corn.
  4. Prepare of (8oz.)cans tomato sauce.
  5. It's of can of crushed tomatoes.
  6. It's of elbow macaroni.

Hamburger Stew step by step

  1. So first off, get out your biggest soup pot you have & fill it w/water, to boil on medium-high heat..
  2. While you're waiting for that, now's a good time to prep your veggies! Wash, peel, & dice everything up..
  3. Once the waters boiling, roll your hamburger into bite-sized pieces & place into the hot water..
  4. When the hamburgers all floating to the top & is brown in color, add in the can of crushed tomatoes, drained can of corn, & one of the tomato sauce. Stir everything together, "let everybody get to know each other"..
  5. Add in the veggies that'll take the longest to cook - carrots & celery.
  6. Let everything in the pot boil for 20+ minutes until the carrots/celery are soft - to the point you can easily stab a fork into the veggies easily.
  7. After that point you can add in your diced potatoes & dry macaroni, let it boil again til everything's soft but not soggy! You can also add in diced cabbage if you'd like!.
  8. Once those are thoroughly cooked, you can taste test! Salt & pepper it or add in the second can of tomato sauce if you'd prefer..
  9. Ladle some of this into a bowl & enjoy!.
